Ladies Ministry is Expanding!
Women's Ministry is in the process of expanding! As our church body grows, we feel the need for our ministry to grow too! For about the last year, we having been trying to come up with ways in which we can meet more needs of the women in our church. After a lot of praying and brainstorming, the idea of a Women's Mentoring program took ahold of our hearts. We are excited to announce we are in the process of launching this program!
Because women uniquely understand each other, go through similar experiences, and feel similar emotions, it helps to have someone who can listen, offer godly advice, and diffuse tense personal situations before they escalate into major ones. We would love to see more spiritually mature women - who have experienced both joyful times and hard times - paired up with younger women who are seeking someone to turn to for friendship, love, encouragement and advice. Older women have so much to offer the younger generation as far as personal experience, lessons learned, and stories of how God showed Himself
faithful. The more we talked to women, the more God showed us that we ALL need someone who will inspire us to do better than we know how to do. We need someone we can turn to for advice, to vent to, or just do things with. Someone who will bring out the best in us, keep us on the right track, and be an inspiration to us of God's faithfulness.
In our fast-paced 21st century lives it can be difficult to carve out the time in our schedules to develop healthy relationships. It can be a struggle just to make time for our marriage, our children, or our closest friends. Consequently, one type of relationship that often gets overlooked is the intergenerational relationship such as those we hope to cultivate through the mentor program. In Titus, however, we see that intergenerational relationships are important for our spiritual health and growth. Intergenerational relationships are a part of God’s plan for His church.
Titus 2:3-5 NLT
Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.
As we work on getting this mentor program going we ask you to be praying for God’s leading on how He would have you involved.
All for His glory,
Who We Are
Ladies ministry at CFC is about loving God, loving each other and serving. It’s simple, however we have found that through those three areas, we fill the great commission. We love God by studying His word, prayer and worship. We love each other by valuing each person, their talents and gifting, and helping each one become what God has called them to be. We serve through outreach, events, providing food or clothing, encouragement, and helping whenever we are asked.
There are many ways to be involved in Ladies ministry, such as:
- Bible studies
- Sharing your testimony
- Serving groups
- Special events
Creativity is always needed in these areas!
Please consider becoming a part of the Ladies ministry and grow with us through loving God, loving each other, and serving.
